Volunteer Opportunities
The success of The Homemakers can be directly attributed to the support of our community and the volunteers who make our entire spectrum of services possible.
If you have a few spare hours each week and want to make a difference in your community, just give us a call. The Homemakers rely heavily on the caring and talented individuals in our community to make our programs possible and we always have room for more volunteers.
Volunteers are always needed for our Friend to Friend and Day Out program, at our special events and fundraisers and in the office.
To make a gift of your time, call or email our Volunteer Coordinator Carol Cole at (603) 335-1770, ext. 107; ccole@TheHomemakers.org.

Annual Appeals
Annually, The Homemakers seeks support from the community for its Home Health Care and Adult Medical Day Care services.
An annual Phonathon is held in November to raise funds for the Agency's Home Health Care program. Gifts received from the community are used to help provide services for those persons who cannot afford to pay the full cost of necessary services provided and for which there is no other reimbursement source.
In the Spring, The Homemakers seeks support from the community to benefit participants of its Day Out Adult Medical/Social Day Care program.

In Memory
Honor a friend or relative in a special way by making a commemorative gift to The Homemakers Health Services in their name.
Your gift to The Homemakers honors someone special in your life and also makes a difference in the lives of the elderly and disabled population in our community. We’ll acknowledge the gift promptly by sending a special letter to the person in whose name the gift was made.
Simply send your gift, together with the name of the person in whose name the gift is being made and the name and address of the person you would like us to acknowledge to: The Homemakers Health Services, 215 Rochester Hill Road, Rochester, NH 03867-1701.
Gifts made in memory of a loved one may be designated to go towards a specific program.

Planned Giving
The Homemakers Health Services provides a variety of ways to meet individual giving needs while at the same time helping the Agency to continue to meet the health care needs of our elderly and disabled population both now and in the future.
Cash
Gifts of cash are the quickest and simplest form of contribution. The Homemakers is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and all donations are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
Stocks and Bonds
It may be advantageous to make your donations in the form of appreciated securities. In most cases, the full market value of the securities is deductible, while capital gains taxes are eliminated.
Real Estate and other Appreciated Property
Gifts of real estate and other property can offer advantages similar to contributions of stocks and bonds. Be sure to call us to discuss any potential gifts of property.
Bequests
You can remember The Homemakers Health Services in your will either by a specific dollar amount or percentage, or as the residual beneficiary of your estate. A bequest can serve as an enduring memorial to the Agency.
Life Income Gifts
It is possible to make a significant gift to The Homemakers and also receive the income from that gift for your lifetime. A variety of planned giving vehicles such as Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Gift Annuities, and Pooled Income Funds, allow donors to receive increased lifetime income and considerable tax advantages while meeting their philanthropic goals. We will be happy to discuss these options with you or your financial advisor.
Life Insurance
You can name The Homemakers Health Services owner and irrevocable beneficiary of a life insurance policy - a way of making a contribution as well as receiving a generous tax deduction.
