The Homemakers Health Services to host gala event
Rochester, NH: The Homemakers Health Services is proud to announce a special fundraising event on Saturday, September 30th at 6:00 p.m. at its campus in Rochester.
Entitled “Once Upon a Time”, the event will highlight and celebrate the work of the agency since its inception in 1974 and share its exciting vision for the future.
“The theme of our gala will recognize the history of organization and the wonderful gift of property and land from the late Virginia Spaulding Champlin,” said Dr. Susan Reid, Board President of the Homemakers.
Daughter of former NH Governor Rolland Hardy Spaulding, Virginia and her husband William supported a broad range of charitable causes throughout the seacoast and across the state. In 1998, she donated her house and land on Rochester Hill Road to the Homemakers. “Virginia’s generous gift of her home and land had a major positive impact upon our organization” said Don Capoldo, Executive Director of the Homemakers. “It helped us to increase the scope of our services and take care of more of those in need.”
Held in and around the historic Champlin House, this event will include live and silent auctions, raffles and door prizes, musicians, wine and food pairings and much more. Each of the rooms in the Champlin house will have a different theme and reflections of the history of the organization and highlights of its work in the community will be shared.
Tickets to the event are $20.00 each and all proceeds will directly benefit the agency and services that Homemakers provides at its center and across the community. To purchase tickets, please contact Danielle Raitt at (603) 335-1770 or via email at Draitt@thehomemakers.org.
Homemakers has also created a number of opportunities for event sponsors. For questions and information on how to get involved, please contact Chris Dugan at (603) 391-4703 or via email at Cdugan@thehomemakers.org.
“This promises to be a fun and impactful event,” noted Dr. Reid. “And all of funds raised will help us care for older adults in need.”
The Homemakers Health Services is located at 215 Rochester Hill Road in Rochester.
