Tee off with The Homemakers July 11th

Spring is officially here and you know what that means – time to clean up those golf clubs and get ready for The Homemakers Health Services Sixth Annual Charity Care Golf Tournament being held Friday, July 11th at Nippo Lake Golf Club in Barrington. All proceeds from the tournament will go toward providing charity health care services to elderly and disabled people in need throughout the County

“Whether you consider yourself a pro, amateur or a beginner, you’re invited to grab your clubs and join us on the course for the 8 a.m. shotgun start,” says Claudette Boutin, CEO of The Homemakers. “In addition to providing you the opportunity to spend the day on a beautiful course, you’ll also be helping those persons in need of vital health care services.”

According to Boutin, as in the past, this year’s tournament will feature a patriotic theme in honor of our nation’s military troops serving both at home and in Iraq. All golfers are encouraged to wear Patriotic attire.

Registration is $115 per golfer and includes green fees, cart rental, dinner, a goody bag and a raffle ticket for prizes. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, third and last place teams. Golfers will also have the opportunity to compete for other prizes while on the course, including longest putt, longest drive and a special Vegas hole.

Golfers are invited to register as a team or register individually and be placed in a foursome. As the tournament is limited to 144 players, Boutin urges people to reserve their space now by registering early.

“For those who don’t golf, but would like to participate in some way, sponsorship opportunities are also available,” says Boutin. “Our tournament not only promises to be a great time, but a great avenue for business exposure."

Sponsors to date include: Eastern Propane and Oil, major sponsor; Peach & McPherson Certified Public Accountants, cart sponsor; Thone Chiropractic Clinic of Rochester and New England Medical Association, hole sponsors and Andrew J. Foss Company and Co., prize sponsor

Sponsors will receive signage on the course the day of the tournament, be listed in the tournament program and also receive recognition on The Homemakers’ website. For more information about the tournament, sponsorship opportunities, or to register, call Rene’ Philpott at The Homemakers, by telephone: 335-1770/1-800-660-1770, ext 103 or by email at rphilpott@thehomemakers.org.
